The town is set in the hills of Inland Murcia. One hour and twenty minutes from the coast and San Javier airport, but well worth the drive. The area is beautiful. From the house you can see three sets of mountain ranges and an array of colourful trees, mostly apricot, olive and almonds. The almond blossom in February/March is something not to be missed. Just 10 minutes from the house is the camping la Puerto which is another beautiful area of pine tree forest with a river running through the bottom of the valley. The camp site itself has little wooden casitas. In the town there is everything you need from Swimming pools, to supermarkets, to Tapas bars. The town celebrates numerous fiestas. The Spanish people are very friendly and always willing to help you. There are free Spanish lessons in the town. If you want a little bit of real Spain then this is it.
